BIBLE STUDY CLASSES (Meets in the Immanuel Library)
Men of the Word meets the First and Third Mondays of each month at 7:00pm. Come join us for a lively discussion, using the lens of the foundational documents of our church body, the Lutheran Confessions. They tell an important part of our story as Lutheran Christians, and still inform and inspire our faith and life today. For the 6th, we will be discussing the readings from Week 11 from the reading plan on page xxxiv. Hope to see you there!

Women of the Word meets the Second and Fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00pm.  We have been journeying through the book of Mark and will pick up our discussion in the middle of chapter 6. On the second and fourth Mondays of each month, we meet in the Library to lean into God's Word together. We engage in a conversation that focuses on what the text is saying and how that applies to us. Hope you'll consider joining us in the new year!

People of the Word meets the Fifth Monday of each month at 7:00pm. Both men and women are invited to join!

Women's Morning Bible Study meets the Second and Fourth Thursdays of each month at 9:15am.

We will begin a new DVD study based on the life and ministry of Peter: “Peter…from Fisherman to Fisher of Men.” Donna Pyle has written the study to impact our spiritual walk and to grow our faith by sharing how God used the Gospel to reveal Peter’s brokenness, failures, struggles, and triumphs. He is very relatable!! He made huge mistakes but remained open to listen, learn, lean in, and love in new and challenging ways.

Our study will seek to answer the following questions:

  1. Where did Peter come from?
  2. What did Peter’s life look like before Jesus entered the scene?
  3. How did Peter become one of Jesus’ inner circle among the twelve disciples?
  4. What was his calling given by Jesus?
  5. What were Peter’s strengths and weaknesses as a disciple?
  6. What was Peter inspired to teach and write that applies to our Christian walk today?
