A LWML door offering will be collected this morning - this offering will go toward the new mite goal and will help support the mission grants selected for the next biennium.
FALL FEST & ROAST BEEF DINNER will take place on Saturday, November 10th We will need your donations to our "Country Kitchen", including baked goods, homemade canned products (including preserves), etc. If you are working on crafts, please make a few extra. Fall Fest is sponsored by the Ruth Society. The Beef dinner tickets will be $12.00 for Adults Children (6-12) $4.00 and Kindergarten &Under Free. Tickets will be available at the door. GREETERS - The Elders are re-instituting the Greeter program at Immanuel.
We are looking for families, couples or individuals to greet members and visitors as they come into church on Sundays.
The only requirements are that you arrive between 8:30 and 8:40 before the 9:00 Service and bring your smile and a warm handshake. If you are interested and can help, please add your name to the Greeter Sign-up sheet located on the bulletin board next to the flower chart. FLU SHOTS: Walgreens will be offering flu shots on October 14th after the 9 am service. Flu shots will be administered to ages 10 years and up. The cost is $35.00 if not covered by PPO, Major insurance and / or Medicare B.Walgreens will do the insurance billing. So come on out and get your flu shot so you can stay healthy this winter. Trunk-or-Treat help needed! The Board of Outreach will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event on Sunday, October 28th from 4 to 6 pm. We will need volunteers to decorate their car or truck and hand out candy and will also need volunteers to help with set up, serving food, etc. Please see the sign-up poster in the narthex and add your name if you can help!! We will also need donations of candy and bottled water — thank you!
New books in the church library! Thanks to some recent donations, we have some new books in the library for you to “check out.” In the fiction section, we now have several titles by Lawana Blackwell. Most of her novels are set in the English countryside of the nineteenth century, and they are highly rated on Amazon.com. We also have some new titles by popular Christian fiction author, Janette Oke. New non-fiction includes The Daniel Plan book (613.2) along with the accompanying devotional (613.2) and cookbook (641.5).
Immanuel Lutheran is hosting a paper themed drive in October to help the FRANKFORT TOWNSHIP FOOD PANTRY. The collection items they have requested are: toilet paper, Kleenex, napkins, paper towel, and paper plates. The pantry would also appreciate Dollar Tree Gift Cards.
