LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRY WEEKEND APRIL 27- 28TH
Immanuel Lutheran Church will be hosting Lutheran Hour Ministry the weekend following Easter Sunday.

What is Lutheran Hour Ministries? God has called Lutheran Hour Ministries to proclaim the risen Savior around the world. LHM’s members and partners come together to meet the greatest challenge of the 21st century—to proclaim messages of hope in the name of Jesus Christ. This belief leads us to a clear mission: Bringing Christ to the Nations—and the Nations to the Church. To do this, we will focus on four priorities:

  • Energize, Equip, and Engage Laity for Outreach
  • Grow God’s Kingdom through Expanded Media Outreach
  • Bring the Gospel to the Unreached Around the World
  • Engage Communities in the Digital Mission Field

If you have questions the Pastor and Bev will be available Sunday after worship in the lobby. Children and adults are welcome to volunteer. Those who sign-up should arrive at 6:30 pm on April 18th so special tasks can be assigned.

LUTHERAN WOMEN’S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
LWML is very thankful for Immanuel’s support of mission projects. Total mite box offerings from January to March was $204.73.
The Food and Clothing Co-op from Concordia Theology Seminary in Ft. Wayne is a recipient of a $10,000 LWML NID mission grant for 2018-20. Offerings in you mite box play a key role in helping students feed and clothe their families during their seminary years. The Food Co-op is currently able to supply between 80% and 85% of all food, household and clothing needs each month at no cost to the students. This ministry reduces the students' financial burden and is a vital part of the support of seminary students who will be serving the Lord as their vocation.

You may pick up a mite box from the LWML table and deposit your offerings in the large mite box in the lobby/narthex. The next collection will be May 4/5th. Cars, window sills, laundry rooms, dressers are favorite places to display your mite box and all family members are invited to participate with their gifts of change. Thank you for supporting the Northern Illinois District's LWML mission grants.

SAVE THE DATE: Easter Egg Hunt – April 20th
Mark your calendars for Immanuel’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th from 11am -12pm. Bring your children to hunt for Easter eggs filled with candy and surprises and then stay for a parent/child activity -- The Story of Jesus Told in Easter Eggs. Ages 10 and under. The hunt will be held rain or shine or cold -- we will "hunt" in the gym if the weather does not cooperate!

As in the past, we will need volunteers with extra friendly faces  to help welcome our visitors from the community!
