Giving and Service Opportunities

Coming Soon -- MorningStar Mission Stars of Hope

We will again support MorningStar Mission in their efforts to provide Christmas gifts to children in need.  Please look for the Stars of Hope in November -- they will be displayed in the narthex when available.

Lutheran Church Charities
Visit lutheranchurchcharities.org for details on all the ways you can assist this organization as it acts as the hands and feet of Jesus. Most recently, the organization responded to the tragedy in Las Vegas as the K-9 Ministry teams quickly mobilized and began visiting hospitals, schools, churches and first responders, and participating in community vigils.  They have also traveled to both Texas and Florida in the wake of the recent hurricanes. Donations are always welcome for many areas of need, including the K-9 Travel Expenses in support of their Comfort Dog ministry. Please visit their website for details or to make a donation.

QRT MInistry
QRT (Quick Response Team) Ministry is an outreach of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Burbank, Illinois.   This ministry responds as needed and able to critical incidents both locally and around the country to provide Christian compassion, care and comfort for both victims and first responders. Led by Pastor Steve Lee, QRT has recently responded to the hurricanes in Texas and Florida and also to the tragedy in Las Vegas. Donations are always welcome to offset the travel expenses incurred responding to these needs. Please visit qrtministry.org for more information and to make a donation.

Rays of HOPE
Proverbs 3:27 says, "Whenever you are able, do good to people who need help."  We should always be willing to help others, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ.  There are people within our own congregation who have ongoing needs, whether it be financial, physical, or spiritual.  Please continue to contribute to Immanuel Lutheran Rays of HOPE.  We are grateful for your continued support -- this ministry is 100% funded by our own members.  Checks may be made payable to Immanuel Lutheran Rays of HOPE and deposited in the offering plate or sent to the church office.
