The Immanuel adult choir is a loving group that helps us to celebrate God's love in song. They welcome new members at any time.

Choir practice is held at church on Thursdays Sept.-May from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Ruth Society

The Ruth Society is a very active women's group at Immanuel.   They take care of the altar, the communion silver, wall banners, the acolyte' and elders' robes, the confirmation stoles, baptismal napkins, and holiday flowers. They also organize a blood drive, funeral dinners, cards for the ill, a Mother/Daughter Tea in May, and of course the annual Fall Festival, our community family-style beef dinner and craft show. They are also active with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

ChristCare Groups

ChristCare Groups are gatherings of approximately 3 to 12 persons meeting regularly to develop close personal bonds with one another and with Jesus Christ.

General Information

Christ is central to ChristCare Groups. ChristCare Group members meet Jesus himself in their fellow group members, in the Scriptures, in their times of prayer and worship, and through their missional service. With Jesus at the center of all that the group is and does, group members grow as Jesus' disciples, increasing in faith, joy and love.

ChristCare Groups are circles of care. ChristCare Group members give and receive Christ's care to one another. When you're in a ChristCare Group, you never have to go through a tough time alone, be it a major crisis or just the bumps and bruises of daily life. Your fellow group members are always there for you.

When ChristCare Groups meet, they do four kinds of activities:

• Community building and care
• Biblical Equipping
• Prayer and worship
• Missional service

The Holy Spirit works through these activities to make ChristCare Groups into "Circles of Care with Christ at the Center."

ChristCare Groups provide people with three benefits that we all need in our lives: a place to belong, a place to grow, and a place to receive care.

We all can find ourselves wishing for a group of Christian friends who know us, care about us, and stick with us through thick and thin. ChristCare Groups provide that kind of koinonia, a New Testament word that describes the close relationships and sharing early Christians enjoyed (see, for example, Acts 2:42-47).

ChristCare Group members encourage one another to grow as Jesus' disciples. They pray together, search the Scriptures, and share their victories and challenges as they strive to live as more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

When ChristCare Group members suffer the bumps and bruises of daily life, they know the other group members will listen to them and care for them. When group members experience crises, their group is there for them, supporting them, and making sure they don't suffer alone.

Rays of Hope

Helping Others Providing Encouragement

This group's mission is participating in and coordinating social ministry in our congregation. They are living expressions of Jesus' love shown in practical ways, offered to all who have need.

SONSHINE GANG

The Songshine Gang at Immanuel is the gathering and ministry  of members and guests who are ages 55+.

They gather regularly for fellowship, education, and outings.
